If I've told you once, Genichirou, I've told you a thousand times. You, Kunimitsu, and Kanya can all gang up on me at once, I'll still beat you all in kendo. =)  Are Kousuke-nii and Asoka the Drool Machine coming for your anniversary?

In other news...Rika is acting a bit funny, but not really like she's sick.  Need to bring her to Kaidou-sensei as ( Read more... )

He has a good chance of making it. He's up there on the list and there is a possible match, but we have to run the tests first. I was going to have them come to my office on Monday to let them know. The transplant team wants to talk to them about the transplant and the donor. I'm going in tonight to check on him. He is such a little fighter. I need to find a way to tell them that they need to stop bringing so many people by.

Good. He's got good parents, not to mention that Shouhei is adorable. I thought NICU limited visitors to just immediate family, or am I mistaken?

Shouhei is adorable. We've managed to get him to gain a few ounces so I'm happy. They seem to think that as long as one of the parents is there, they can bring in one other family member to see him. The nurses tried talking to the father and he got angry. I just got a phone call about it and now have to head down there. I don't want to ban them but if he starts screaming at my nurses he's going to have to go. Ayumi-chan was actually afraid of him, and we both know how she is. Oh, she wants to see you to take us out for lunch one day.

I'll talk to them, might be able to talk sense into the father. Shouhei's the first grandchild, I think, and that can complicate things. But since he's being tested for possible transplant, that'll probably relax him-since that means he'll be able to show off his healthy baby.

He scared Ayumi-chan? Poor dear! =( And yes, we do all have to go out to lunch. What's this I hear about a boyfriend?

I understand all of that, but I am not willing to risk my patient's health. If it was just the grandparents showing up I wouldn't have a problem, as long as necessary precautions are taken. I'll be talking to them in about 5 minutes. I can guarantee that by the time you talk to them, I will be the asshole doctor who knows nothing. I have to thank OUH for helping me grow an extra thick skin.

She was the one who called me so I knew it was bad. I told her I can do lunch any day, but that she's not paying. As for the boyfriend...I got a "Gaku-sensei!!!" after which she blushed and walked away.

Surprisingly, he's one of the least combative parents I've had. I've noticed that the ones who are the angriest usually have kids going in for tonsillectomies. Isn't that weird? And we don't override doctor decisions, so if they come to me to complain about the asshole doctor, I side with the asshole. =)

Yeah, considering she was a tough girl in the hospital. And I can also do lunch whenever, and as I am still Sei-niichan, I shall get this information as a Big Brother.
