I have found the culprit of who keeps the radio at work turned to a J-Pop station!
...Unfortunately, it's my supervisor at Nishi. He's nice enough, though, and once I'm in my office, I turn the radio to whatever I want. It's off when I have appointments, though.
Counseling is great, now that I have the hang of it. I like to think that I'm helping people; that I'm making some sort of difference. I've been used as a sounding board and a shoulder to cry on, and somehow, they walk out feeling a little better.
I have to wonder about the intentions of some of them, though. Apparently, a few people find the counselor role a bit...attractive. I've had a couple of girls ask me out on dates, and they were heartbroken when I told them I wasn't single (not to mention the ethical problems and the fact that I'm gay).
Speaking of...Renji and I went back to Kanagawa this weekend to participate in a tea ceremony. It was incredibly relaxing, and just nice to be in the old neighborhood again. While we were there, though, I had to wonder. People have been having problems coming out to their parents (I've counseled quite a few), and it hit me that my parents stil don't know. And they're great, but...how would they react? How would my sister react?
...If Amaya does come up for a weekend, she's probably going to find out that Sei-nii is dating Ren-nii. And, well...I can only hope for the best.
Telling her isn't like telling my parents, but it's still a little nerve-wracking. Still, she's a sister-and sisters somehow know these things.
I just hope knowing doesn't ruin her yaoi manga for her. =)
coming out,
renji,
counseling,
long tall weekend
