Great news!
I had quite a long break today, and so I was finishing up my calls and emails for the Big Brother/Big Sister Project. Annnd...turns out that Kanazawa Elementary (in Nishinari-ku-that really rundown area), has expressed a lot of interest in partnering with us! A lot of the students there have been classified at-risk, and I think it's a good opportunity. I'm holding off on an answer, though, so we can actually try to get some structure to the project first. =)
I really hope this works!
I'm going to need a little bit of help. I'm in classes and work all day Thursday, so I've decided to send Takashi on a little treasure hunt. Is anyone going to be at Kita around three PM? I just need someone to meet him at the end of class and give him his first clue. It's like...five minutes out of the day. =) I'll pay in pizza...
Another wonderful thing about having a nice break is scouring the Internet for videos. I just have one question-why didn't anyone tell me this existed? Everyone looks so young and cute! And Sen sings! =)
