Step Twenty-Six
This term is going to be a lot tougher than last term, but I know it'll be worth it. My teaching day has been switched to Tuesday, and I'm hoping to get actual teaching in instead of just observing and aiding in case of emergencies. They've been happening more lately; I think the students are more than a little bored with the classroom. The ones I take out for tennis do perk up really fast, though.
Classwise, I'm actually not taking many required courses-instead, I'm getting electives in. I'm taking physics just for fun, and I understand the disdain majors have for non-majors...after a first year asked about "Schroedinger's Dog". My drawing class is great-Hidaka-sensei flipped through my sketchbook and seemed to really like my work. He did give me some excellent tips, and he seems really laid-back. Thanks for the recommendation, Saeki!
I did end up declaring my minor in Japanese Sign Language, so now I'm in classes to try and get my interpreter certification. It's interesting how much extra education is needed for interpretation-it's not enough just to be fluent. Between that and taking English again, I'm going to have plenty on the language side.
No matter what, it's going to make me smile.
I think we're having a ghost infestation again! I was walking back to the dorms from class and I thought for certain someone was following me-but no one was there. Maybe this ghost will show itself so I can talk to it. Genichirou thinks that I attract them. =)
