Thoughts on Jaebum’s Leave
1.) Kpop is missing out on one fine and talented guy. Although I’m not TOO into the fandom, I know that if I had started following 2pm “in-depth,” I would have fallen for Jaebum first. Good looks + English + same hometown = me becoming a fan!!
2.) He’s still in Seattle, and Seattle isn’t that far from California. It’s also a cherry on the top that I visit Seattle BIANNUALLY! You never know… if I spend more time outside rather than in the house, I might actually catch him!
3.) His “mistake” must be really bad for all the members to agree on his leave. It’s not illegal, supposedly, so I assume it’s just very morally wrong. First thought that came to mind was that he impregnated someone. Next thought was that he betrayed the group/company by selling top secret info. Kinda like a spy. In the interview transcript, it is said that this decision for him to leave would still have happened if the Myspace controversy did not happen. It must be REALLY bad then. I’m VERY curious about what he did.
4.) He confessed about the “mistake” he made when JYP had plans to bring him back. Why so honest??? If he had held onto that secret, he wouldn’t have to leave. Then again, it might be a mistake that will eventually be known, and he’d rather not deal w/ it in person if he chooses to make a comeback. Wise one there…
5.) Boycott still on? Sad for other members. Honestly, if DBSK broke up and one of them went solo (knock on wood), I would still support them. It would be sad, but I cannot deny that I love each and every member of dbsk individually. Them being together is awesome x 1 million + infinity, but each of them are very important to me. I would mope for their disbandment (knocks on wood) but I would not purposely hurt another member just to see them together. It doesn’t help. But then again.. this is just silly predictions from a silly fan. We’ll see. But I still have faith that dbsk is gonna be together for fairly a long time. They’re at the top of Korea, Japan, and all of Asia atm. SM and AVEX would be crazy to allow this powerful group to go under. They’re crazy if they choose to cut of this precious line of revenue.
6.) Jyp’s PR sucks…. Someone mentioned it before, and I totally agree. Compared w/ the way SM handles w/ scandal (Kangin, Jaechunsu, Hangan (sp?)) and the way YG approaches their problems (Gdragon’s trail, plagiarism controversies), JYP fails miserably. I mean I do dislike how SM is powerful enough to quiet and tame the fans (a little bit), but it’s effective in preserving an idol’s image. Kangin is on the DL since his drunk and driving incident, and mind you it was illegal. SM still managed to control the situation. Big Bang and Gdragon’s trail? Didn’t seem like it phased them one bit!
