[The scene is a little misplaced, maybe, the steady foreground of a rural bus-stop set against a lucid background. Kuwabara himself is a solid figure among the occasional figment. For the moment, it's snowing, a show of his own sentimentality. He thinks though, for some reason, that he can feel or smell a rain coming

I'd better stay as I am. It'll save confusion if any of your acquaintances from school show up to ask about earthquakes.

None of 'em have shown up here, I don't think. Speaking of earthquakes, though... How often d'you think that happens?

[The fox wrinkles his nose at the smell of the cigarette and sneezes when a bit of the ash catches his nostrils.]
You shouldn't be smoking. You'll ruin your lungs.

[Another laugh, and he reaches up to scratch his nose.]

[Kurama shakes himself, fluffing his fur and freeing it of dust from the various burrows and ditches he's wriggled through during the course of dreams.]

[Kurama turns his head and licks a trickle of blood from the wound on his shoulder.]
What happens next?

[He bends slightly to get a look at the wound, mouth pressed into a line of concern for a moment.]
Is that okay?

[Kurama turs to let Kuwabara have a closer look.]
You see? Besides, my dreams are only dreams.

[He smiles largely and, looking around, pulls an umbrella from behind the bench. He hardly has time to open it before the weather changes. The snowflakes turn steadily into drops of water, and then it's raining. Kuwabara takes a few steps forward and, as they walk, their footsteps cause rumbles and maybe movement of the world around them.]
Fuckin' weather...

Is it always like this here?

[But then he shrugs. Maybe a dream's a dream, but this one might be a little more unusual than most of them.]
I'm not able to move myself, sometimes, and stuff's just pictures. I usually don't have guests. Well, I mean... I usually don't have guests that aren't just figments or memories or stuff like that.
And this week's been getting weirder and weirder. Maybe something's really gonna happen...

[There's something just out of his field of vision, and he turns suddenly to look at it. He misses, however, and merely continues onward.]
Maybe that's all it's amounting to. That might be a relief.
