My last post talked a lot about Harper's Island and I'm going to talk about it again. I love that series. Yes, the ending didn't quite meet my expectations, but it was still enjoyable. :) I'm working on a couple oneshots for it right now.
Untitled
Harper's Island, PG
Friendship/General
Pre-Series
Somehow, in watching Jimmy, in keeping his enemy close, Sheriff Charlie Mills found himself becoming friends with the boy who loved his daughter and he used to hate.
Abby/Jimmy undertones, Charlie/Jimmy friendship
Untitled
Harper's Island, PG
Angst/Romance
Post-Series
When the adrenaline cools in your veins, when your friends have been buried in fresh soil and you find yourself sitting in your strange, normal life, the true terror begins. When Abby has nightmares, she does not scream.
Jimmy/Abby
The first one because I found it interesting that Jimmy says Charlie was keeping him close because Charlie wanted to keep an eye on him, knowing how angry he was. Which was obvious because Charlie had a lot of files on him in his creepy I'm-still-hunting-the-guy-I-supposedly-killed room. But then Charlie trades his life for Jimmy's saying that Abby could have a life with him. Obviously he changed his mind about Jimmy. I think that before Abby even came back to the island, they had become real friends.
The second because after all the terrible things they had seen (I mean, Jimmy woke up to find his best friend dead and strung up), Abby and Jimmy are going to have a bitch of an adjustment period. They kept it together pretty well, but everything they went through has to sink in sooner or later. They lost their best friends and everyone they ever loved. They were betrayed by a close friend. Ouch.
I'm also planning to write a pre-series 4-shot centering on Shane, as I mentioned before.
