Yar! Ahoy der!
Yar me mateys. It be talk like a pirate day, savvy? It is not, however, blog like a pirate day, so we're good. (Although at the Lounge, I get free cookies if I order like a pirate :) )
So. Let's see.
My friend and I are doing a 'theme of the month' thing to keep our creativity flowing. We make a new theme on every 15th and each fic is more-or-less due the next 15th. I'm going to start on my fic today now that my idea is more rounded out.
Very exciting! You might have heard about the X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie, which is due out May 1st. Guess who's in it? I mean, besides Wolverine? Gambit! FINALLY. Fans have been trying to get him into the movies since the first one. (He was actually supposed to make a cameo in X2 and play a bit role in X3, but it never worked out.) He's playing a major supporting role, apparently, and the actor Taylor Kitsch, has signed for 3 movies, and there's already talk of a Gambit spin-off. I'm not too familiar with the actor, though apparently he's got a lead role in a TV show that's gotten good reviews. Aside from that, though, he's definitely got the looks that scream 'Remy'
At least there's eye candy, yes?
So you know what sucks like whoa? Hehe. Yesterday I had an assignment in German to write about one of my favorite bands and I picked Apocalyptica. I went to their website and you know where they were playing that VERY SAME DAY? Omaha, NE--only an hour away! I just about howled in frustration. Way too late to get tickets or arrange a ride. Oh well. In exactly ELEVEN DAYS, Silent Hill: Homecoming is being released. I'm really excited. :)
Mmm. I dunno. Felt like I had more to talk about than I actually do.
[Edit] Now I remember, two seconds after I post! I'm officially registered for ACEN 09, bought my badge and everything. My mom says that she'll buy my costume for christmas, but I told I'd think about it. I wanna go as a lolita goth and have my entire outfit picked out. We'll see, though. ;)
