Greed in the Way of Progress

I wish I had more time to elaborate on this simple point: Greed forstalls progress.
Edison's greed impeded his progress and that of the real genius, Tesla. Tesla's genius was too often imepeded (heh) by greed and misunderstanding. Edison, the government and unwittingly, Westinghouse.

Greed ruined eBay and greed will soon negate the joy of craigslist. Don't get me wrong; small and independent business is a wonderful thing. Conglomerates as unavoidant siblings to government are not.

Corporations afford many the security that let's say a government institution should provide; they provide health insurance and other health and wellness needs. Most citizens of the corporate world focus on this good without questioning the cost. No reasons whether or not the populace could pool resources and create the same nets of safety for themselves. We need more personal amplitude to free ourselves from the power of the corporate generators.
