"happiness...is just a change in me, something in my liberty." Damn straight homie. Happiness is a change, we need to work to get there: exert force, alter something in us. If it is a change, then we are inherently unhappy. OK, I can believe that, too. But is it in my liberty to make that change? Is it just a matter of will, mind over matter and whatnot? I guess so, after all alcohol makes me happy and all that does is affect my brain, it leaves my life as such unchanged. Maybe happiness is just something we can possess by sheer will. If drugs do it, we can too; after all, we are the ones who researched, harnessed, manipulated and produced the drugs in the first place. So don't call me a druggie, I'm just ahead of the curve. Drugs aren't bad, just artificial. Some people think artificiality is intrinsically bad, because it is unnatural. If that is the case, then happiness too is artificial and bad. Does this seem like a believable argument: "happiness is not our natural disposition and so is bad"? I doubt it; so for all the drug dealers who want their money and relatives who want to see the real me again, I'm not quitting drugs.
Say yes to drugs and all their friends.
