launch day!
A couple of weeks ago, I still had hope that I would actually be able to pick up four PS3s this morning. That's how many I pre-ordered, back in Feb. However, I got the inevitable phone call from the manager earlier this week, informing me that they can only grant me one. I was even first on the pre-order list, but since they received less than half of the pre-order amt expected, they have to give my other three to those below.
Work thinks that I'm sick today, but I've actually had this day planned for months now. I arrived at Toys R Us at 9 a.m., and I left there 10 minutes later with my PS3. No line-ups! I found it weird that the lady at the counter knew my name. Then she later explained that she knew, since I'm the only girl on the list. heh. My parents even came with me, since they were paranoid that I might get jumped. After, I went to get my driver's licence renewed, and my parents stayed in the car to protect the PS3. They're great!
I'm itching to open it and play, but since I can now only profit from one (hello eBay!), my bank account won't let me. Plus, Jeff will probably keep one of the ones he managed to snag, so there's another thing to look forward to when I move in. Just a couple more months. America, here I come!
