Well, John is feeling better - enough so that yesterday afternoon he wanted reall food. So he ventured to the store for some steak. He told me if he barfed at the grocery store, at least he wouldn't have to clean it up.
So he brought it home, fixed it, and, of course, regretted it later, but it least it stayed down. And he was well enough to be up and around last evening.
So guess what woke me up this morning. That's right, first Avalon at 6 AM - I went in and I think she was just going to go right back to sleep right in the middle of it. I had to strip off her clothes and bedding, give her a quick bath and wash her hair, and put her in bed with us. Then I heard Angus asking for something to drink. I got him a cup of water; he drank a little of it, frowned thoughtfully, then he leaned forward and threw up on his bed as well. Got him cleaned off and installed him on the couch with cartoons, and he asked for some milk, which also didn't stay down, but at least he made it to the bathroom (for most of it). John went back to the store and got some Pedialyte bottles and pops, so hopefully they won't get dehydrated. Now my head aches a bit and my stomach feels a bit queasy, but hopefully it's only because of having to clean up vomit three times in one morning and I'm not getting it too. Even if I do, I shouldn't get it too bad - I seem to have a pretty strong immune system.
