Well, so much for paying off Dad what we owed him this month. We'd begun letting Scooter outdoors because it's nearly impossible to keep one in when you have two other outdoor cats teasing him with their outdoorsyness, and you don't have an airlock, or at least double screen doors. Thankfully, my dad didn't even need to be asked, and he's on the mend. The money thing is just kind of ongoing, working for who I do, and just having to learn to live with it. Makes emergencies like this a little hard to deal with. Cautiously hopeful a new governor might change things a little, but I'm not holding my my breath.

Yes, bumbling about in a cone, but definitely better.

Eh, we'll get by. It's kind of an ongoing thing. Just glad my dad kind of volunteered, when previously he would have been grouching about "spending all that on a cat." But he gets a bit attached to the critter that keeps him company watching all his old John Wayne movies.
