Scavenger Hunt #5!

Feb 28, 2010 23:29

Six tigers; Angus (1998), me (1962), and my dad, Robert (1926) were all born in the year of the Tiger, plus two toys and our newest little tiger, Scooter.

He indulges my anime compulsion. We hadn't been awake long, so we both have bed-head.

I would have liked to have bought the rest of this series with our tax refund, but what we actually spent it on was a set of new tires for the Sedona, getting its registration up to date, and some money we owed my dad. Then...

another part for snow clothes for Gareth going to science camp this week. Packing him up, and really envious I can't go too...instead I went here...

Well, cheating here a bit, as I did not take this (it's actually from here), but it's where I spent 3 days of this week for work, the little trailer that serves as a meeting room down at the Southwest Fisheries Science center in La Jolla.

This was the only book we could find with that word on the cover. It was so boring, I was just looking for an interesting place to put it. Also dated, as it has instructions for fixing a phonograph.

He and his sister were wrestling over something and giggling...

And this little guy is always in my wallet. I picked it up at the Japanese gardens in Portland a few years ago. According to the little translated card that came with him, in Japanese, the word for frog, kaeru, is the same as the word for return. Supposedly if you keep one of these in your wallet, your money will return to you, or they are also given to travellers to come home safely. However, I've had my wallet stolen, misplaced and lost, and it's come back to me every time.

And I'll be back for the next scavenger hunt, because this one is done!
