It had to be the most productive of days I've had recently, today. It started off with appyling for a debit card at the Navy Federal Credit Union; then to deposit my pay check from Quiznos; then to getting back $31 from Bank of America that they wrongfully took from my account; then scoring a job at Papa John's (which I'm stoked about=)!!!); then to work from 3-close at Quiznos...
The shift was going pretty well until my friend Matt that we were working with got drunk at work and was making a horrible mess. Although I didn't want to leave Katie there alone to work with him, she wanted to switch her hours with me, so I got off at 7.
When I got off, I took Marylin (who got laid-off that very day from Quiznos) to come back home so I could change. After than I taught her how to drive... which was pretty hair-raising, to say the least haha.
We got bored of driving around, so we decided to drop back in at Quiznos to see how Katie was doing with Matt.... by that time he had already downed 22 (twenty fucking two... I kid you not!) He was so plastered that I decided to help Katie out with the rest of the closing.
They finally got out of there by 10, but then we had to figure out what we were doing the rest of the night... I planned on just taking Matt home so that he wouldn't have to drive home drunk. It took a lot of convincing, but we finally figured it out. I was going to drive him in his car, while a friend followed. Once we got to his house, I took his car key ring off of his key chain so that he wouldn't drive anywhere after we left (as was his plan).
Just when I thought everything was squared away and good, he finds a spare key and peals out of his driveway at nealy 40, giving me the meanest glare I've ever received. So... all we can hope for is the best: that he doesn't die in a horrible wreck, and that he forgives us for stealing his keys from him.
Some other stupid stuff happened later, but I'm a bit out of breath.... or words... whichever... but yea... the night ended with a kiss on my cheek and a "thank you."
So yea... that was a particularly interesting day for me...
