Things weren't so bad so long as Chad didn't think about them too much. Problem was that thinking about it was all he could do. How could he not? He had no idea what was going on where Teddy was. It was late, late afternoon, when Annette finally made her way around to see Chad. Her day had been busy and she wanted nothing more than to have a little fun now. She was coming in hopes of taking Chad with her to the carnival.

She knocked softly on his door.

Chad wondered if that might be Annnette, and drew in a breath to prepare himself to do things like, you know, move and stuff.

But, for now, he only moved his head, turning it toward the door. "S'open."

"Hey, Chad," she said after walking in, closing the door behind her. "Whatcha doing? And where's your coat? Oh, and you might need a hat, and gloves too. Maybe even a scarf."

Chad pushed himself up and shifted so that he was sitting on the edge of the bed, back stooped with his hands interlinked and slightly dangling between his legs as he looked up at Annette, then over to the window, then back again. "S'it snowing out again?"
