I have named the voices
The two voices in my head. Not really voices, I'm not crazy. No, they're just trains of thought.
(1) Smart Alex - this one looks at the situation logically. He realizes that most things are blown way out of proportion. He sees the good in us (me). He believes that there is hope and happiness to come.
(2) Scumbag Alex - this one sees the worst every time. He whispers, "You're lame, boring, unattractive. She's going to ditch you. You fucked up and have no idea why. Just give up now. Have a glass of rum, accept your fate, and go back to sleep."
Scumbag Alex is much louder than Smart Alex. I don't want to listen to him but I do.
