(Something I would want to say in Mirai's place in episode 20. Either that, or I just run out of titles.)

Episode 21 of Mebius is released, and since I love that episode, I think I would just get episode 20 out of the way. I spent far too much time on it and got too little out anyway.

Must agree with poor Mirai and hate seeing him picked on. But you know what? It's true that no one explains things to him to any extent. No different from getting used to another culture. A stupid example from my childhood days that doesn't apply to me directly. "Huh? Why is it bad to look down when being scolded by a teacher? Isn't that how we show respect and indicate we were wrong?" The problem, of course, was that Asian kids were taught to look down because looking up would be like a show of defiance. For the American teachers though, it seemed like they weren't paying attention. "Look at me when I'm talking to you." I remember one of my teachers saying that they actually needed seminars for teachers to try to learn to be more culturally sensitive. Might sound stupid, but it makes sense. As for not pursuing it, hm, other stuff for Mirai to try to understand so maybe he's prioritizing. Or he feels it's something he's not ready to understand because he really, really doesn't get it so maybe thinks he needs to learn other things

Sorry for a late (and short) reply. I moved back home a few days ago and currently have no permanent internet access.

I like what you wrote, especially the part about about the Ultras are good and would not relate or understand bad people because their thoughts are simply too different. Also, it is strange that I hadn't thought to compare Mirai's ignorance to getting used to other culture in this post (even though I got another post from a week before saying exactly just that; I must have a short memory span ^^;)
