Title: Not So Traditional Valentine's Day
Summary: It's not the gift that's important
Rating:Fluuuuffff
Disclaimer: Not mine
A/N:Baaaaaaaad, Senna. This is actually my first KakaIru-fic in 2012. And just wrote it in half an hour or something. Which means it's un-betaed Hopefully you like it, though. The weather imitates the one we have here, minus the freaking coldness. ;P
The sound of snow crunching underneath the boots was the only thing that could heard as he slowly walked through the cold winter day towards the meeting point, the famous or, more like, infamous bridge. It was not a surprise that the other was already there, gazing at the snowy landscape of leafless trees, snow-heaped riverbanks and milky white sky with the sun weakly shining through it. There was a little turn of the knit hat covered head to inform that he had been noticed.
”Hi.”
”Hello.”
He walked closer, standing next to the other before resting his elbows on the snowy railing, and for a moment they both watch the frozen river and slowly falling snowflakes.
”I don’t have chocolate for you.”
“Maa, it’s alright. I don’t really like sweets. Besides I don’t have a card for you, either,” he shrugged slightly and moved to stand right behind the other man, pushing his nose between the furr-lined hood of the winter jacket and neck, nuzzling with gentleness that’s rarely shown to the outside world.
There’s a light chuckle and hot air comes out in little puffs of steam. “Good, kids gave me a lot of them this year, too,” he hums, pulling strong arms around his waist, placing the covered fingers across his abdomen before covering them with his mittens, “I was opting using a small fire jutsu just to rescue my desk but decided that the janitor might not want to work overtime to clean all the ashes; Aki-san had plans for the evening.”
He chuckled, too, rolling his thumb with just enough force for it to be felt through the layers of clothing. “Wise decision, then.”
A wry smile lifted one corner of the mouth, unseen by the man behind him. “Yeah.”
“…”
“…”
“So… Take-out and movies?”
“Sure, why not. I’m not in the mood for cooking anything ‘nice’ and ‘romantic’ today.”
Lips stretched against the warm skin as he grinned, molding his body tighter against the other until they were touching from head to toe, the contact burning even in the cold winter day. “Then I should not wait for any candle light dinner under the moon?”
He snorted and turned his head just enough to see the teasing glint in the visible eye. “Sorry to disappoint you. I’m not interested in freezing my ass off just because of the occasion.”
“Maa, you could never disappoint me, Iruka.”
The sincere smile Kakashi showed could be seen even with the mask or was it just the warm adoration in his eye that made Iruka think like that, he was not sure. All the chuunin knew that he’s answered to it with a smile of his own, wide and warm.
“I’m happy to hear that, Kakashi.”
“Happy Valentine’s day, love.”
“Happy Valentine’s day to you, too.”
