There'll be another chapter for this one but I don't know until how many yet...probably 2-3 chapters more? I think this chapter is so-so. But I hope you would still like it and well, comments are welcome ^_^\/

"I told you Nino, I'm fine at Nishi-ku; I don't mind the transportation and..."
Staying there may somehow feel awkward.
"Look, it's nearer if you stay here and I can't let you stay there alone because..."
Staying there may just decrease the chance of us getting back together.
When the two of them arrived at their house (Well technically it's theirs right? Ohno just doesn't remember), Nino placed some groceries on the kitchen counter while he takes a stroll around the living room. He hoped that it'll trigger something. For now, he should cook dinner... Chahan with some gyoza perhaps?
Ohno was surprised to see a stack of video game CDs, 2 consoles and a Nintendo DS abandoned on the carpet floor of the living room. So he's a gamer huh? He thought as he kneeled down to skim over the game titles. Most are Mario-related and the rest, he didn't know it existed. Then, he saw a piano, with lid closed and on it were composition papers, behind the couch. He didn't go near since it felt like his 'personal space'. Lastly, he saw a frame facing down on the side table. Curious, he flipped the photo revealing Nino being hugged from behind by another person and it's...
Me? H-how?
He hastily put the photo back to its place, blood rushing into his cheeks. He tried to calm his beating heart by thinking of an excuse: It's not me; it's someone else...that looks like me. Yeah, that's it.
The most important in his life is...
"Ohno-san?"
He suddenly stood without any reason and looked at Nino.
"Dinner will be ready for a while, so you just relax okay?"
Ohno simply nodded and took a seat back at the far end of the sofa when Nino sat on the other end to switch on the television.
Nothing was special on the TV and Ohno can see it in Nino's bored eyes, “You know...you can play your games, I don't mind."
Nino glanced at the older and hid half of his face behind his bended knees, "L-later."
Now’s probably not the time to play games anyway. His priority is him. Besides, playing games with that one person you love who doesn’t remember anything at all have its downside.
"Oh, okay."
Silence. Ohno was okay with it and so was Nino. Still, it's as if there's something else in the air that made them both uncomfortable. The latter settled on a variety show featuring a comedic duo to get rid of the atmosphere.
Several minutes had passed that Nino headed back to the kitchen and after another minute, Ohno can hear the setting of the plates and then a call, "Dinner's ready Ohno-san~"
The older couldn't help but smile at the sight of the food on the table, "Chahan huh?"
The other only smiled and offered to take their seats and eat; he knew how hungry they both are after the travel. Even so, he could hardly focus on eating, too busy watching Ohno eat. Just then, he noticed a few tears coming out of his eyes. His legs slightly felt like jelly in worry as he stood, "Is it not delicious?"
Ohno shook his head in surprise and disapproval to his question, "It's delicious; I'm not sure why I'm crying though."
Nino wanted to wipe his tears and tell him a plausible reason but held back. Patience Kazunari, patience.
He offered a napkin instead, "The food...must've reminded you of...someone."
He took the napkin and happily replied, "My mom would cook it for me mostly before...and Jun does it as well."
Nino almost flinched but forced a smile, "I-is that so?"
So he doesn't remember huh?
"Yeah and a lot more! Everything's yummy when he's the cook!"
Hearing his voice getting excited apparently makes him agitated.
I cook a lot for you too, you know!
They both continued to eat silently. When Nino was finished, Ohno stood, offering to wash the plates but he refused, "I'll do it so you can leave it in the sink…you can go ahead and take a bath so that you can rest already."
Ohno nodded and did what was told. Once he was out of the kitchen, Nino let a few tears fall. He knew it was sickening to cry-he made a promise to himself right?
But what can he do?
------------------------
The lights are out, deafening silence spread across the room though not entirely. Nino tiptoed to where Ohno slept (in their room, of course-he insisted to sleep in the couch but hours passed already and he's not getting any of it) and sat on the floor to watch him sleep.
Watching his peaceful slumber like this always makes him feel calm and it's calmer if he could just snuggle up-get closer to him: hear his steady breathing and heartbeat, touch his cherubic face and give light kisses anywhere he can reach.
But he can't so he slowly crept his hand to hold his instead- he knows Ohno is a heavy sleeper so he's 100% sure he wouldn't wake up feeling weird because someone was holding his hand while taking some shut-eye. It will only take a moment.
This pretty much is equivalent to the time before he wakes up.
"Satoshi..."
He kissed his right hand and palmed it on his cheek. It felt cold due to the weather recently so he tried to warm it by letting it linger further. He smiled afterwards.
How he loves him so much. How he wish he'll love him again.
Hours have passed again and he's on the verge of finally sleeping when Nino heard Ohno's breathing getting raspy. He tried to ignore it at first but when he saw him sweating massively and his brows etched in a deep furrow, he crawled on the bed and shook his shoulders to wake him up.
"Oh-chan? Oh-chan, wake up! Wake up!"
Ohno opened his eyes instantly and squeezed Nino in the darkness.
“What’s the matter Oh-chan?”
"S-someone was trying t-to...get m-me...Then he c-caught me a-and I can't m-move...and started to t-touch me everywhere..."
He hugged him back and caressed his back gently, hoping his heavy breathing will subside, "You'll be okay Satoshi...I'm here. I won't leave you."
"P-promise me that okay? Jun?" he replied, hugging a now surprised Nino tighter.
If only Ohno could just see... "Y-yeah, I promise." and took the opportunity to embrace him in the obscurity.
------------------------
Ohno rarely dreams like those. Or rather, it's his first time to have such terrible a dream. In the dream, he was inside a room-it was blurry so he couldn't notice anything familiar- and he was trying to get away but someone grabbed him from behind and pushed him against the wall. His hands were pinned against the wall and as much as he tried to escape, he can't. Then that someone started to do things he didn't want to think of anymore.
He didn't want to remember the dream again but flashes of images would pass through his head like...
A memory.
Did it happen before? Is this what Jun warned him about?
He got up and pulled the blanket above him, glancing outside: it started snowing.
A tug on the thick fabric.
When he looked at the source of the action, he was surprised to see Nino - snuggling to the blanket he tried to pull earlier - on his side.
He quickly went backwards only to stumble out of the bed, waking the younger up from the thud.
"Ah, Oh-chan! Are you okay?"
"W-why are you here?" he stammered as he sat up from his fall; this person said he'll sleep in the couch last night and yet he's here!
Nino fumbled the blanket, his cheeks getting red again while shyly answering, "You were having a bad dream last night and you kinda asked me to stay so..."
"I did? But I..." Then it dawned on him; of course, it's impossible that it was Jun.
Although because of him, he felt...
"Don't worry, it won't happen again-"
protected...safe.
"Thank you."
Nino glanced up at him, "Eh?"
"Thanks...that you stayed." he said, facing him properly with a smile Nino always loves to see.
"No problem."
Anything for you, Satoshi.
