Tales of Adventure and Woe: Gerbils

Once upon a time there was a lonely girl named Sen who thought a pet could keep her company.  Her house was very small and Sen was very busy with school, so she thought a Gerbil would be perfect.  Gerbils are small and curious rodents who like to run around and explore.  They also don't eat a lot so they are very easy to take care of.

You had me worried for a moment there: I got scared that Hall had gone and accidentally killed himself while trying to escape his cage. But he only scared the daylights out of you, so that's okay, right ;) ?

Also: I don't know about gerbils, but my mice were very much nocturnal, so they would have been bummed to be locked out of the play cage during the night :P

He tends to sleep a lot at night actually, so he tends to go to bed when I do. I was surprised he wasn't more active at night.

I could rant about Gerbils, but I won't all the basics are mostly there. Gerbils are actually native to the Mongolian deserts and kind of look like kangaroo mics. Since they're desert natives they don't need a lot of food or water, thus don't make much of a mess.
