We were so close to having an Eleven that looked like some sort of swashbuckler nightmare. Who thought it would be a good idea to have the Doctor look like a Capt. Jack Sparrow clone? (Have I told anyone how much I hate pirates? No? I effing hate them.) Thank goodness Smith had a love for Tomb of the Cybermen & the second Doctor and made them change to his current outfit. Ah, Tomb of the Cybermen. A good story with lulzy but cringe-worthy moments. Like some of the the bad accents, the asshole American, and personal fave, the tall black manservant of the creepy evil woman who wore pants tight enough to show off his ass and package (Yes, evil lady with a German-esque accent, we know what he's really for). Who hardly had any lines and walked around looking big and imposing for the most part. ('I think here's a gentleman who could open these doors for us.' Yes, Doctor, ask the big, strong black man to pry the doors open for you. Oh, the '60s.) But hey, Toby Toberman saved the day by the end of the serial, so that's something.
