Nice to have the boys back but I wasn't too fussed on this episode to be honest. I mean I liked some things but all the scenes with the family were so very generic. THEY WERE EVERY FAMILY IN EVERY HORROR MOVIE EVER. I did kind of like the teenage girl though (lol hooker sheets). Every time the parents talked to each other about how "This year's going to be different blah blah hinting at past tragedy BLAH" I would be like, NO IT'S NOT BECAUSE YOU ARE JUST A HORROR CLICHE. I HOPE YOU ALL DIE. Also, I felt like Dean's manpain memoment at the end was unnecessary. WE GET IT, DEAN. NOW SAM, WOULD YOU PLEASE KILL SOMETHING WITH YOUR MIND.
Things I liked:
Boys sleeping in the car. YES! That is almost as awesome as when they squat in empty houses!
That cleaner who didn't know them well but just happened to have pictures. PICTURES THAT JUST HAPPENED TO BE RIGHT THERE. Awesome creepy cleaner who steals pictures out of people's homes (or at least that's what I'm choosing to believe).
HAND LICKING.
"What's going on? We heard screams." BECAUSE WE WERE JUST PASSING BY. LOL BOYS YOU COME ACROSS SO CREEPY.
"Did you touch my daughter?!"
That scene with the boys and Generic Horror Movie Family in the salt circle and creepy!girl comes in. That was wickedly done and was actually scary.
SURPISE INCEST TWINS!
The way that it felt like season one/two, just Sam and Dean with people to save and things to hunt. Even with the extra spoonfuls of angst.
So yeah. Bring on 4.12.
