I blame the dogs.....

I like routine to an extent. It helps me plan for the non-routine stuff, but it is disturbing how quickly I can get into patterns of behaviour that are not helpful.

Every morning since moving back into Raynville Mount, I've gone downstairs at about 6.30am ish, got the dogs, who have gleefully scampered upstairs and got onto (or in Pippa's case, 'into') the bed. And then we've all gone off to snoozletopia. Because I know I need to get up for work, I keep waking, but then I look at the slumbering canine forms next to me and decide we're all too damn comfy for that. And go back to sleep. And you know you're in trouble when you think about getting up and one of the dogs (usually Pippa) gives you a look that says "are you mad?!?! go back to sleep silly human."

Also, waking at 3am and 5am during the night is a contributing factor.

However, this is not the plan.

The plan is to wake at 7am, get up, shower, walk the dogs, get my shit together, get on my bike and cycle to work for a healthy 8am start time. Ideally letting me get away at 4pm. So far I've failed massively at this. It is somewhat annoying. Well the getting in for the 8am part. The cycling has only had a 24hr runtime so far, but it seems to be going ok, only takes 30mins door to door, is good exercise and far cheaper than public transport.

Still, I'll keep trying and maybe, just maybe, I'll get myself sorted next week.

not sleeping, sleeping, cycling, dogs
