Embrace the opportunities...

Gorgeous day out there...
Sunny skies, WARM...
Just came back from a walk on the Salt Marsh Trail.
Not one ripple on the water.
Reflections of the cranes standing on the rocks...
Beautiful.
Dog played in the water. Splashed around like he was a little kid. Too funny.

Daughter and I had a wonderful walk and talk.

She needs to straighten up. Literally. GAWD but she slouches...
But then I did too at that age.
I remember my mom coming after me, shoulders back, straighten up.
My sister made me walk with a book on my head, compared it to practicing at being a princess...
LOL

So, a few salads, some fruit, some drinks...
a chair or two, a blanket, a book...
And off to hmm, Porter's Lake for a pic-nic methinks.

I offered to take the girls for a run at 5, in preparation of their upcoming provincial games.
Son has a game at 7... need to get someone to take him there, as I will need to shower after the run.

And then daughter and I will join him there to watch the game.

And thus goes the day... seizing and loving the moment.

PS: I asked for a 3rd week vacation - so am off also next week, not coming back till Tuesday Sept 6th.
Why the hell not eh?

If you have the ability to complain about something,
you also have the ability to take the positive action that will make it better.

If you have cause to get angry, then you also can turn the energy of that anger in a positive direction.

If you have reason to be frustrated, you can also use motivation to get beyond the frustrations.

If you have experienced disappointment, you also have learned a valuable lesson.
Go forward, apply what you have learned, and transform your disappointment into a positive turning point.

If you have known loss and sadness, then you also know how very precious life is.

If you face a difficult challenge,
you can also grow stronger, more capable, wise, experienced and resilient.

Embrace those opportunities, for in them you will find the sweet substance of life.
