So often in Korea, I see boys on the street who make me want to wimper from their gorgeousness *___* that metro style, the immaculate hair, the wonderful bodies OMG!
As for South Korean culture, it's similar and also different from Japanese and Chinese culture. I'm curious as to what you find specifically strange? (and/or don't like about Korean culture)
It's just I have the feeling that the same peculuarities exist to a greater or lesser extent Chinese and/or Japanese culture as well. If not now, than likely these similiarities existed in the past. There's been so much information exchange between these three countries over the centuries.
As for you're beautiful, I watched the first two episodes then couldn't find the third and didn't care that much. It seemed like a fun show, but after watching coffee prince it was just so...Meh. I hated the main girl's character. On the other hand Coffee Prince has a very strong female lead. She also looks and acts more like a boy. And the girl who played Go Eun Chan, as an actress she is amazing. You can really see her acting blossom in that show. In the first few episodes her acting is sort of meh, but then later on OMG!
Anyways you should watch Coffee Prince next!
Full House was rather meh to me. The best part about it was RAIN. A kpop friend of mine once said "who wouldn't like Full House. Everyone likes Full House." I piped up with "ME I don't like Full House."
Full House is a classic example of the lovers who originally hate each other, but due to certain circumstances sign a (love) contract and learn to love each other.
But of that genre I think "My Name is Kim Sam Soon" is better. It's about a 30 year old spinster who speaks her mind and tries not to be anyone other than who she is. She often sounds stupid, but she stands up for herself and has a spitfire tougue (which is awesome). It starts with her being dumped and running into the men's washroom, and then with Sam Shik (I forget his real name this is what Sam Soon calls him) knocking on the door. She then find's out she's in the men's washroom, and thinks this dude is a jerk face. She's a pattisseur and later applies to Sam Shik's restaurant. They hate each other at first but through an interesting set of circumstances they start fake dating, trying to trick Sam Shik's mother into thinking their a couple.
This makes me seem like a huge fan of kdramas, I'm not really. I'm really picky.
I will be watching Lee Minho's new drama when it comes out tho, cause he's hot and will pretend to be gay. (the drama's name is 'Personal Preference' XD) - http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Personal_Preference
As for Baby and Me...it was fun but I HATE talking babies in movies.
"I'm a Cyborg but that's Okay" is a pretty fun movie and has Rain in it. It's a mental institution love story. Not only that the other inmates don't like Rain (awww) and say that he steals things and concepts from them. "He stole my Tuesday!"
I guess I just don't like their look and as I said, their language sound. That's all. Which is why I am surprised by some of the newer actors who I do enjoy. I didn't expect to like You're Beautiful. No one recommended it to me. I picked it up for cheap at a place and watched the first episode on my own and laughed so hard at the stupidity of it all I couldn't stop watching. I don't know why I liked it - or "Baby And Me". I do know that quite a few parts made me tear up... *sigh*
Oh well. I'm going to enjoy whatever craze I've been hit with. Right now I started "Hana Kimi". We'll see. I don't think any of the guys in that show are attractive (except for maybe the ghost dude). Oh wells.
(uh...the wallpaper says ring ding dong since that's the name of one of Shinee's songs ;>_<)
Xiah - http://img209.imageshack.us/i/216zt7.jpg/ (he is Korean despite the fact that his name might look Chinese, I'm also kinda cheating on this one cause his hair sucks now)
And I found all of these guys effortessly. If you can look at this list of guys and honestly say "I'm attracted to east asian guys but none of them" than you're just too picky. Either that or you like more masculine faces on asian guys (which I know is not the case XD) I know you're not saying you don't find any Korean guys attractive, but there are SO MANY THAT ARE. OMG!
Hana Kimi - the manga is much better. Sano had such bad hair at the beginning of the drama. He's also hotter as Rui in Hana Yori Dango.
Okay! Okay! I give up!.... I'll rephrase it like this:
Up until now, I have not given Korean men a lot of thought because all of the Koreans I have met have particular national idiosyncrasies which I do not enjoy. As a result, I felt that it could affect the rest of their culture. Also, although I found a lot of them attractive, nothing piqued my interest enough for me to obsess. Besides that, the few dramas I saw were interesting but not things I obsessed over. Only recently have I begun to find out the awesomeness that is Korea. But it may be not so much Korea, I guess, as Jung Geon-Suk.
I realize I haven't seen a lot. I realize I haven't looked at or listened to a lot. But what little I saw (whatever the quality) didn't make me want to see more.
Jung Geon-Suk has got me wanting to see more. So perhaps I will. We shall see! I'm excited!
But what you have shown me (the pictures) were obviously worth OMG. And there's a lot more that is like that (more than China, I should think). But, still, it's been harder for me to enter that world...
I guess you could say that as usual, my interests are specific...
