Irritating, It Is...

I'm emailing to bring a possible bug to your attention; the uploading
programming and QuickEdit both seem to dislike any punctuation that is
either followed by, or following a colon. For example, :is that what
you wanted?:

QuickEdit and the uploader both tend to give you :is this what you
wanted: as a result. Obviously, a sentence is quite different with and
without a question/exclamation mark/etc., and it is quite annoying to
try to deal with. The programs don't ALWAYS change them, but generally
several times in any given document this problem occurs.

I don't know if this is a problem in any other category, but I'm
speaking specifically about entries in the Mercedes Lackey section,
where "Mindspeech" (speech in italics and between :colons: instead of
"quotation marks") is very common.

Here are two (recent) links from my own account, which you can skim
though and hopefully get the idea:

Those of us in the M. Lackey section have had nothing but troubles
with uploading and editing since Fanfiction.net changed it's uploading
and editing programs, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who would
appreciate it if something could be done about it.

Thank you.
