Summary: Takahashi Shako, a normaly student with normal friends, who goes to a normal school and normally loses her wallet...O_O yes, it's normal to lose a wallet. A girl who is cursed with bad luck in love has struck gold when a boy returns her wallet.....i apologize for such a bad summary.
Chapter 12
Even though Daiki had graduated the past spring and moved onto university, he still managed to visit Shako every day. She was shocked to find him waiting outside of her apartment complex everyday like he used to while he was still in high school.
It was summer once again and the weather was becoming warmer.
“Ah~ Atsui*~~~Nee Daiki, open the window will you? I’ll go get us something cold to drink.” She walked into her tiny kitchen.
“Sure.” After opening the window, Daiki sat in his usual spot on Shako’s floor. “Oh I forgot to tell you, there’s a matsuri* going on. I saw it in the newspaper and I was thinking we could go together.”
“Really? Sure I’ll go!”

Daiki picked Shako up from her apartment. She was wearing a beautiful pink yukata* which had white flowers patterned all over it. There was a yellow obi* around her waist. Daiki was stunned.
That yukata makes her look s pretty! She’s so cute! Ah~ can I really do this tonight? I’m might chicken out in the end…. AH!! I don’t know! Should I do it? Should I not? But I don’t want to risk our friendship! But I’m SURE she likes me too! There’s no helping it! I HAVE to tell her!
As Daiki was having a fight with his inner-self, Shako was staring at him blankly. “Nee Dai-chan….anyone home?” She knocked on his forehead. He snapped out of his daze.
“Ah, let’s go!” he took Shako’s hand and lead her out the door.

“Sugoi*~~ There’s so many people! Look at all the stands too! Dai-chan let’s go get some taiyaki!” She was already running off into the crowd.
“Oi! Wait for me Shako!”He followed after her.
“Two please!” Shako said to the man at the stand.
“Hai!” she was handed two of the fish shaped cakes. Shako turned around to Daiki who was behind her and handed him one of the taiyaki.
“Here!” She was munching on her own cutely.
“A-arigatou” Daiki suddenly had an idea. “With you running off so much we’re going to be separated you know.” He linked their hands. “Now you won’t get lost, and I won’t have to go crazy searching around for you.” Daiki’s head was turned to hide the blush creeping onto his cheeks. Even though it was his idea, he was still embarrassed about it.
“Eh?” She was shocked. “But we’re going to look like a couple~” Shako was silently screaming in her mind.
Kyaaa we’re holding hands!
Daiki let her around the stands. They stopped at a game booth where the player has to knock down all the bottles to win a prize. Shako knew that this game was rigged so she didn’t expect Daiki to win. Her mouth dropped open when he knocked down all the bottles.
“EHHHH?!?!”
“Congratulations! You can choose a prize. What would you like?”
“Ano…That one!” Daiki pointed at a penguin plushie. When the man at the booth have the prize to Daiki, he turned to Shako and held it out to her. “Here.”
“Really? I can have it?” he nodded, “Thanks Dai-chan!” He noticed her angelic smile and swore he died for a second. “What’s with you and penguins anyway? First the necklace, now this?”
“I don’t know… penguins are cute.” Daiki was watching Shako as she petted the head of her new stuffed animal.

Shako dragged Daiki over to another booth. It was her turn to show him that she was also good at something. It was the game where the objective is to catch as many goldfish as you can with a paper net.
Daiki and Shako had a competition. Of course, Shako won. She had delicate hands that didn’t scare the fish when she went to scoop them up. Daiki on the other hand, every time he looked into the tank, all the fish scattered. Maybe it was because he looked like a fish’s worst enemy, a penguin, their predator. Of course, Daiki was simply confused.
“Yatta*! I won!” Shako cheered. Even though she won against Daiki, she didn’t win a prize. Sadly, a little ten year old girl managed to catch one more fish than she did but she was content with just beating Daiki.
Daiki looked at his watch. “It’s almost time, let’s go towards the lake.”
“Time? Time for what?” As usual, Shako was confused.
“You always ask too many questions. Just follow me.”

They arrived at the lake’s shore. Even though there were so many people around, somehow they ended up alone. Daiki was looking up and down between his watch and the sky. “It’s almost time….” He looked nervous. “I guess I’ll just say it now.. Shako…B-b-boku wa…boku wa.…..A-anata ga *….”
There was a sudden boom as the sky lit up. Fireworks.
“S-suki desu*!” Daiki finished his sentence as the sky was streaked with many colours.
Shako was shocked. She almost fainted. But there was nothing more shocking when she felt something press against her lips.
A/N- Hehehe so there you have it, Dai-chan confessed to Shako. I chose to write his confession in Japanese as opposed to English….cuz….well I mean….it’s embarrassing to write it in English! (I’m weird like that) I wonder if i ever confess to a dude will i use english or japanese....I'll shut up now DX Comments and Criticisms are love! <3
