Cell phones?
Apparently, I'm eligible for a phone upgrade this weekend (I thought it wasn't until Thanksgiving). I'm on my parents' Verizon family plan. I'm thinking of actually getting a smartphone, since right now I just have a regular cell phone, and at this point I seem to be the only person in the universe with a regular cell phone.
So does anyone have recommendations for smartphones that are Verizon compatible?
Apparently my mom can't justify the cost of a data plan (which she believed to be $60 a month, though I think that's high). Which is fine and I can continue in my obsolescence. In which case I'm not even sure what the point of recommending cell phones would be (she told me I should ask my friends for recommendations), since who has gotten a phone in the past year or so that isn't a smartphone. And most of the new phones that have come out since my old phone are just as good as my old phone or better.
Maybe I can get some sort of touch phone with a minimal a data plan. Because I think it would be nice to have the cool interface even if I wasn't running apps or sending e-mails and whatnot.
