I admired my father a lot, growing up. I learned a lot from him. He taught me how important it was to take initiative when you see something that could be changed for the better. He taught me that yes, indeed, one person can make a difference in the lives of others. It was his influence that encouraged me to join the Refugee Relief Movement as a child, since he had done the same thing in his youth.
He would have given anything for his family. When Sola and I were still very young, he moved us from our home in a small, mountain village so Sola and I could grow up in Theed where we might have more opportunities. He became a teacher at the Theed University, but I still remember him doing a lot of work with his hands- a lot of building.
He's very kind. Very loving. He's always encouraged us to set our goals high and he's always encouraged us to meet them. Although I know he worries greatly for my safety. He has for quite some time, and I don't think it will ever stop. I know he misses us too, but Sola spends quite a bit of time with him and our mother, and she tells me he's quite happily taken up every grandparents' duty of spoiling their grandchildren.
I admit, I worry quite a bit about them, too. I worry what this war could do to Naboo. Particularly after already witnessing one invasion. I just try not to let such concerns weigh too heavily on my mind. Surely, Naboo is of little interest to the Separatists. There's little strategic value. But, as irritating as their worry is...
I worry too.
