We are all fools in love

I am way tired, but must write down things before I forget them in the morning, as I am fairly apt to do.

I just got back from watching Pride and Prejudice. It was incredibly, incredibly awesome, I have to say. Pride and Prejudice will always hold a special place in my heart, and is one of the most romantic stories I have ever heard or read. However, the movie just can't stand up to the miniseries, in my eyes. No matter how many things it did better than the miniseries, Matthew MacFayden just is not, and never will be, Colin Firth.

Now for my complaint from my shopping experience beforehand. I broke down and bought Dragon Quest VIII. It's supposed to be awesome. And the sales clerk at EB Games agreed with this rating of the game. He said he loves it and that the FF XII demo is 'scary'. I am excited to try that out, of course.
However, the first thing he did in our transaction was ask me if I was buying it for a gift. Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but did he ask that because I'm a girl? If so, I am so very, very bitter.

movies, rants
