yea so 12 days till Parris Island, get'n excited, get'n nervous, get'n scared shitless, get'n pumped up, u name it, i'm get'n it, all over the spectrum.
The closer it gets the more i realize how much i'm going to miss everyone. for a good portion of my friends this is their senior summer, the funnest one there is, and i'm going to be missing it.
But it's not all bad, i'll be having the exprience of a life time, i'll be becoming more displined, be in the best shape of my life, and best/most importantly of all i'll be a United States Marine! uh-ra! I get to do my part to make sure that my friends are able to have their summer fun with out the fear of being murdered for the sole reason that they live on this dirt. there are crazy extremist out there, i'm gonna make sure they don't get anywhere near my friends/family.
Billiam285: my friend mike was telling me in bootcamp getting letters was like the best thing to look forward to cuz you dont get much contact with your family and friends
(this is extremly true, so every 1 better be writing!)
and now random Marine ranting, i love it:
The United States Marine Corps is over two hundred and twenty years of kicking asses and taking names. We are the finest fighting force this world has ever known. I was born in a foxhole. My mother is anger and my father is pain. Each moment that I live is an additional threat upon your life. I'm a rough-looking, tough-talking soldier of the sea. I'm cocky, and overbearing, and I do not know the meaning of fear, for I am fear itself. I have the power to save your life and take it from you. I am a green amphibious monster made of blood and guts, who arose from the sea to prey upon enemies across the globe. I feed upon anti-Americanism whenever it may arise. And when my time comes, I will die a glorious death on the battlefield, giving my life to Mom, the Corps, and the American flag. We live like soldiers, talk like sailors, and slap the crap out of both. We stole the eagle from the Air Force, the anchor from the Navy, and the rope from the Army. On the seventh day, while God rested, we overran His perimeter, "borrowed" the globe, and we've been running the show ever since. Killer by day, lover by night, drunkard by choice, MARINE BY GOD!!!
