Its getting hot in here...

I can't sleep.

It's far too hot.

So I decided I would update my LJ, naturally! I am on my dad's clunky old computer, as my sister is asleep so I can't use hers. It's an interesting night; the calm before the storm. It is has been forecast that it will rain in the wee hours of the morning, with possible thunderstorms. I always feel electricity in the air before storms, and earlier I was sat in the lounge (the coolest room in the house) gazing out of the window and feeling the coolest breeze come in during the open window. That is what I have been doing today, pensively looking out of windows. Well, that and spend many hours on-line looking for jobs and signing up with job agencies. I keep getting emails for applications for sales/retail jobs in London. Errr, no, that is not what I asked for, I specifically asked for public sector jobs in the North West! I am going to take "What Colour is your Parachute?" advice, and ask companies I am directly interested in if they have any vacancies. That's the aim for tomorrow...damn that book is the best £20 I have spent in a long time, it offers advice for interviews, finding what job is right for you, and how to get the job you want. I thoroughly recommend it, 110%.

The air almost smells electric too, oh how I love it! I can hear owls hooting, and I think I heard a fox screech too. Its funny, when I tell people I hear foxes screeching in the night, they say "What...foxes SCREECH? I thought they made, errrr....foxy sounds". Well, just to clear up the matter, yes, foxes do indeed make screeching noises, and it is as scary as hell when they wake you up in the middle of the night as for the first few seconds of consciousness, you could swear someone was being murdered in the street. I think my mother said they screech when they mate, but I can't be sure. Ah, the wonders of living in the countryside!

I think I had better go and try to sleep, we need to go shopping in the morning, and I need to get out the yellow pages to phone and email companies, just as "Parachutes" suggests!
