[When you send Grune out to go shopping, you should only expect her to come back with half your list--if you're lucky. You have to give Fenimore points for trying, though.

At the moment, Grune is giving a puzzled look to said list. Did she already pick up some apples? (Answer: yes. They're in her shopping basket.)

Help her out?]

[... Grune, Grune, Grune. Robert can't help but smile gently at that, his own shopping list - well, whatever a nanocomputer-projected list can be called, at any rate - promptly forgotten for the moment as he walks up to the taller, beautiful woman's side.]

... Would you... like some assistance, Grune...?

[Apples, hm? Maybe Grune is making something similar.]

[Grune looks up. Once her gaze focuses on Robert, her face lights up with a smile.]

Hello, Robert! Thank you--that would be very nice.

[It's always more fun to do the shopping with a friend.]

[At least it's Grune - unthreatening and kind and gentle... not a person Robert has any trouble associating with.]

May I see your grocery list, so I can help you look for the items on it...?

[He'll quickly realize she does, indeed, have the required apples.]

Oh, thank you. Here you go! [She hands it over.]

[It only takes a moment of scanning the list before:] ... Ah, Grune, it... appears you already have the apples on the list.

...

Perhaps we should look for the next item...?

[She looks down at her shopping basket, puzzled. How did those get there?]

Do you think so?

[Oh, Grune...]

Yes, I do think that... it would be most prudent...

[Now what's the next item on Grune's list?]

Hmm.... All right.

[Next up: bread for sandwiches.]

[Delicious bread! Robert begins to steer Grune in the general direction of the baked produce - assuming any kind of actual organization to the store - while he marvels at the varieties of bread that actually exist.]

... There is such a... diverse selection here. Sometimes I find myself... overwhelmed.

Overwhelmed?

[That's not something she ever feels, so she's going to have a little trouble understanding.]

... [How to explain this?]

... Somewhat... stunned by the sheer amount of something. In this case, variety.

[He peruses a package of pita bread a moment.]

There are... so many kinds of bread that it is... difficult to choose.

Oh, but it's nice to have so many different kinds to choose from. Then you can have lots of favourites!

Yes, but... the choice can also be... troublesome, when it is so broad. That, and... I am never certain which is the best to make...

[You are speaking to a person who has difficulty with perceived or actual failure, Grune.]

[And you are speaking to someone who pretty much defines unconditional love, Robert.]

Oh, the best to make is your favourite. Or the favourite of your friends.

[He can't help but smile at that answer.]

... I suppose that would be a place to start.

In that case, do you... have a favourite kind of bread?
