[Not many of her friends are sounding very happy lately. Have one decidedly concerned Grune responding to your post, Robert.]

Robert? Are you all right?

[Maybe Master Splinter was one of his friends.]

[... Grune. How does Robert even begin to explain...?

... By being blunt, maybe. He doesn't really have any other way to phrase it.]

No... f-far from it.

[Softly:] Things are... i-incredibly difficult for the Hamatos and myself at the moment, Grune...

[She considers that for a moment.]

...Where do you live, Robert?

... House 55.

[... He's told her this, before. And probably added her to the list of people who can bypass the house's barrier, since the mun totally forgot about mentioning that on the last post... d'oh. But it's Grune. He can't bring himself to be angry or anything.]

... I am n-not certain if... the others want company, though. [Really, he hasn't been able to get them out of their shared room for awhile. And part of him suspects that neither of them want to deal with him right now.

He can't really blame them, either.]

Why not?

... Because M-Master Splinter is their father.

[What else is there to say? The bond between Splinter and his sons was one so powerful he couldn't appreciate it.]

[That only confuses Grune.]

Then wouldn't they want to have their friends nearby, to make them feel better?

Some people... d-deal with grief in different manners...

...

I... I u-used to segregate myself, as w-well. I understand that... feeling.

I'll bring over some cookies. [There are still a few left, aren't there?] That will make everyone feel better.

... If... if you w-wish, Grune. I... I would appreciate it, at least...

[Though he's not going to leave the house. Not right now, not when the Hamatos are in so much pain.]

... th-thank you for... for trying, at least. [She always tries.]

You're welcome. I'll be right there.

[She closes her journal. Quite sometime later, she turns up on the front doorstep of House 55, a tin of chocolate chip cookies in hand. It took her a few tries to find the house, but she's here at last and knocking on the door.]

[The moment she starts knocking on the door, Robert is there, opening it. He's still a bit wavery in his stance, but other than that, he looks... alright. Mostly.]

... H-Hello, Grune...

[He opens the door, stepping aside - slightly wobbly, she might notice - and ushering her in.]

[Grune isn't the most observant of people, so it'll be a while before she notices anything amiss with Robert--besides the obvious, anyway.

Once inside, she holds out the tin.] Here you are. I brought you some chocolate chip cookies. I didn't have time to make any extra, so there aren't very many, but I can make more later.

[Hopefully none of her housemates were counting on those cookies.]

[He accepts the cookies gratefully, taking them from her hands and placing them with an almost-reverence on the kitchen table.

It's been cleaned. Repeatedly. The cleaning has been done in a very rhythmic way that seems more like a machine did it.]

... Pl-please, it is... m-much more than I expected. Do not... t-trouble yourself on our behalf. I... I appreciate whatever you do...

Oh, it's all right. I'm glad I can help.

Maybe we can make some cookies together.

... Would you w-wish to? [He had always harboured the idea of making a cheesecake, at some point, to quietly memorialize his sent-home friends; something like this would be similar, perhaps.]

I... I am not certain if... th-the ingredients are on hand. But, at some point... I... I would enjoy it.
