['Sup, Robert. Giles is just going to quicken his pace so he can start walking next to you now. No, he's not going to announce himself right off the bat. You should be used to this.]

Need some help with that?

[Should be, but isn't quite yet. Though Robert doesn't outright yelp, he does startle slightly when Giles speaks up - he hadn't even noticed him at first. Observance only goes so far when a good deal of it is spent trying to think of what would be the best route to take to throw scent off the trail, so to speak.

... Yeah, he should be paying more attention.]

Ah - Giles...?

... [... Well, Giles already knows about the whole Shredder thing. So that makes him a safer choice, at least.]

... I... would appreciate it, yes.

[He does. He can't bring himself to be that terrified of Shredder, not when there are so many other people who could potentially gut him like a dead fish for knowing the people he knows - Ganondorf, Grell, Nu, Yuber, Mirror!Helios, Angel. But Giles is well aware of the situation.]

Not at all. I'm glad I caught you. [And he'll take a box or two from Robert's hands.]

[In all honesty, Robert is more worried for the safety of others than for himself. That's the entire reason he's moving, now - because he's realized that he causes more trouble being separate than being with someone else.]

Thank you...

[The box/es will be given gratefully as Robert walks towards House 55.]

I suppose I must, er, be rather conspicuous.

[Giles follows along beside the man.]

I'm not sure there was a way you could have been inconspicuous, Robert.

[That's slightly embarrassing (and true, which just exacerbates that fact).]

... Duly acknowledged.

[After all, it's not like a skinny, abnormally short man constantly wearing a lab coat who's barely ever outside won't attract attention when he starts lugging boxes around.]

I meant to limit the broadcasting of my actions to certain individuals, but that is... rather a lost cause.

Unless you've suddenly developed the ability to teleport, I'm afraid it is. This isn't something that it's easy to do inconspicuously. I know a few paths that tend to have less people, but that's really all I could offer.

[No teleportation abilities here, nope. Though that would be helpful for the luggage.]

Even that would help... perhaps. I just... [Softly:] I do not want to make the family any more of a target...

Then this is a very good start.

If they can keep you safe without having to leave their chosen secure location? That's a very good start.

[He nods a little, more because he isn't sure what to say than anything else.]

... At first I felt being s-separate would be safer. But after the last debacle - well, if it was that easy to put me in danger by accident, then purposefully would surely be even more so.

Have you been trying to put yourself purposefully in danger, Robert?

[Mental flailing, commence!]

Not at all... I just, er, happen to have relatively poor statistical odds in this regard, it seems.

[He shakes his head.] Having simulations appear right in my apartment was... disconcerting.

We all do, Robert. Luceti is just that sort of place.

...did you enjoy the experiment, then? Or, or the malfunction, as Catherine and Molly informed us.

[For a few quiet seconds, Robert thinks on this. It... was the first time he harmed something. Giles saw it happen. He did it to protect him, after all.]

... Other than the... aggressive simulations, yes. I did.

... It was nice, being able to see Terra again in some way... and, and I enjoyed seeing my friends' worlds. Some of them were beautiful...

Really? Who's did you see? I have to say, that was what I enjoyed the most. It's, um, it was probably the closest I'll ever get to other worlds, unless something else dramatic happens.

Well, I saw samplings from Don's world, Helios' world, Doctor Mizuno's world, Mr. Haddock's world, Ms. Daisy's world, and Ms. Solana's world, to name a few. [There were others, but they weren't named or were parts of worlds he didn't recognize.]

... If that had been all the accident had been, I would have greatly enjoyed it.
