(OOC: Sorry for taking forever to do an intro post! Dx; Artblock for icons is still eating me alive, so Robert may not be as emotional as he should be for a bit. I'll clarify most of his emotions out of habit anyway, but... argh. Will try to do something about this soon.)
[A short distance outside of the main cluster of shops and buildings in

Scientists? [His voice perks up considerably.] Perhaps I ought to make a formal inquiry towards them. They are likely people of reason if they are scientists. [Hello, No True Scotsmen fallacy! Though Robert's yet to meet a scientist who did irrational things, so it's also naïvete on his part.] And if they are the ones responsible for this wing graft, then they are very skilled geneticists - though that does not excuse the violation of my personal bodily integrity rights.
[He listens to the description of the wings.] A good scientist never accepts a hypothesis without initial testing. Though I suppose that it would be a poor time to test it, were it to be true, as I'm already in a bad enough situation here already. Half-naked in the snow... bah. If these Malnosso scientists wish to have my input in their study, it would do well for them to make sure I had access to the proper facilities.

...And I hate to say it, but I'm afraid the Malnosso aren't the most... flexible of people. They're very, very skilled scientists, yes -- and I have more proof of that than I'd ever care to admit -- but all of us that have been brought here are subject to their experiments.
If it would help, I could bring you something warmer to change into? I'm sure I have something around the house that would fit you just fine. [If not Dave's stuff, then something from her own cosplay stash.]

... That is indeed a pity... [He deflates a bit. The thought of scientists being unreasonable is a new and disturbing concept.] And there is no reasoning with them? Perhaps there has simply not been someone who was able to speak on their terms? [Robert doesn't want to accept the fact that a scientist could be irrational.]
As for the warmer clothing... I am surprised you would offer help to a complete stranger such as myself, but I would indeed be grateful for the assistance you could provide. [Luceti seems to be full of people who want to help Robert. It is a very strange thing, especially when he himself knows he's usually abrasive to others.]

I'm from Earth, actually. 2200 AD, to be precise. Although the Earth I came from is very, very different from the one most people here seem to hail from. And I'd be happy to help; it's my job to keep everyone here as healthy as possible, after all.
[Just gathering up some clothes. Don't mind her.] As for the Malnosso, there are a few that are rather reasonable to speak to. But they seem to be a minority, I'm afraid.

[Ah, another doctor. Instant respect from Robert (bonus points if Litchi mentions she worked as a scientist too!).] A noble position to work; doctors are indomitable examples of resourcefulness and altruism.
I would much like to correspond with the Malnosso, even if most of them are unresponsive. I would think that if they have gone to the trouble of capturing us, there must be something worth the effort of doing so that they are working to achieve.

W-well... thank you. We do our best around here. As for contacting the Malnosso... you may want to try contacting the one named Catherine. He's by far the most helpful, as far as I've noticed.
[Clothes get. Just... looking for a coat.] Where are you, by the way? I can try to get there as soon as possible.

[Robert looks around himself in response to the second query.] My present location appears to be in a forested area, just outside of what looks like a central city location. If I am correct, there are a few buildings not more than fifteen metres away from where I stand currently... Very angular-looking buildings, actually. Quite strange.

[And armed with warm clothes, as well. Sometimes a closet full of clothes that won't fit you personally can come in handy.
True to her word, Litchi finds her way to him shortly. It is indeed rather hard to miss the New Feather sitting alone in the snow. He... definitely looks like someone she would've worked alongside in Sector Seven. Giving him a small smile in greeting, she just heads on over.]
I'm sorry for the wait.

Not an issue, I assure you. It was hardly longer than could be expected if there are no transport pods in this place. [He adjusts his glasses a bit as he looks up at her, trying to make some kind of smile-thing in return. It comes out a little nervously, though.
Trying to seem a little less rude, he launches into his usual introductory diatribe.] I am Professor Robert Alexander Hastings, certified astrobiologist of the Randi Institute of Linden, Terra. [He brightens a bit at reciting his familiar, and very dear to him, title... Even if it doesn't seem to mean much in Luceti.] I am certain that your position as a doctor is just as prestigious. What might your name be, honourable doctor?

[Now that she's up closer, she holds the clothes she brought out for Robert to take -- a warm winter jacket, a thick long-sleeved shirt (because she knows full well male New Feathers don't show up with shirts), and a pair of woolly socks and some shoes that she's now realizing are probably a few sizes too big for him. All of it is, really. But it's better than nothing, right?] I know these probably won't be quite the right fit, but they can at least tide you over until you can find something more familiar in the clothes shops. Most of our things turn up there when we wake up here.

[Robert sobers a bit, both realizing that he was probably being a little over the top (though he sincerely believed what he said) and remembering he ought to take the clothes. Yeah, they're way too big on his skinny little frame, but he doesn't mind; he pulls the shirt on immediately, as well as the woolen socks and too-large shoes, then throws the coat over himself.] It's not my lab coat, but it's certainly much warmer than it would be... [He pauses.] You say my possessions might turn up in the shop? What, are these Malnosso common thieves or do they really have nothing better to do? Additionally, I'm rather unable to purchase anything. I wasn't exactly prepared to be whisked away from my home, after all. [That last part is said a little wryly.]

Still, she can't help a small smile over his financial worries.] There's no need for concern over the money... we don't use any here. Everything is free. I can show you to the shops so that you can get your things back, if you'd like?

[No currency system?] That certainly works out to my advantage, and should help keep the socioeconomic status of Luceti as even as possible. As for your offer of assistance... I'd greatly appreciate it. [Truth be told, he didn't usually want to be around people, especially not strangers. But Doctor Faye-Ling was such an intellectual woman, and moreover had been so kind to him, that it seemed a shame not to accept.]

[She just smiles on behalf of his accepting her help.] Whenever you're ready, I'd be happy to show you around.
