Distinction
Self-knowledge is, of course, the highest form of enlightenment there is. Religions, literature, and the experiences of myself and everyone I know make this almost a tautology. Yet, for me, the question, "Who am I?" has never been the primary goal of inquiry. It is a secondary one.
The primary question is, "Why am I who I am?"
