Ice
Last night, on my way out the door, I slipped and fell. The stoop outside the office was a total ice sheet, but it's dark, so you can't tell. I didn't even know it was sleeting outside. I left with my typical gusto, and went tits-over-ass, landing on my left side. My arm felt better this morning, but my hip is still killing me.
And this morning, I did it again... this time at the bottom of the ramp. So, now I'm sore, AND my pants are soaked.
Last night after this happy fun event, I went to vote. It took me an hour to get to Germantown from Rockville (!), thanks to ice storm and election traffic. They moved my polling place to the elementary school, from the high school. Turns out, the elementary school has insufficient parking for polling. I had to circle the lot twice. And then... I stood in line for forty minutes.
I got home at 7:45.
Also... why does the rain water at the bottom of the ramp smell so bad?! I feel like I need a shower!
