CCS is going to be at MoCCA…but I will not.
Due to some financial difficulties (yes even after my fundraiser) I will not be going to MoCCA as I had planned. It looks like the much closer, much more affordable MeCAF is my first convention stop this spring, near the end of May. But that doesn’t mean I won’t have SOMETHING at MoCCA this weekend. In fact, I’ll have 2 guaranteed publications I’ll be included in.
***Correction: As noted below, BEARFIGHT will be released at STUMPTOWN in Portland, OR. In a few weeks, NOT MoCCA. If anyone received or ordered advanced copies and brings them to MoCCA, then it’ll be there!***
The first is BEARFIGHT! Yes I’ve already posted about this, but the BEARFIGHT! anthology is being released at Stumptown and I have an illustration included within! Check out THIS PREVIEW of the book, and if you’re not going to Stumptown either, you can get a copy at Banner Year Press’ website. Thanks to BT Livermore for putting together such an awesome collection!
The second anthology I have contributed to in time for MoCCA has been kept under extreme confidence for nearly half a year now! Spear-headed by CCS’s own Steve Bissette, it’s a rebirth of some very special characters that have been out of the limelight now for a very long time. I, like Steve, will allow this projects reveal to take place over the duration of the week.
Check out Steve’s Post introducing us to the history behind this project, and why it’s so very important that it’s happening now! Needless to say, I’m as excited as he is about this project!
