Anyone who knows me knows I grew up with Sonic the Hedgehog. In every way shape and form. I played the games, watched both shows, collected (and still subscribe to) the Archie Comics series. I’ve been drawing the Blue Blur for as long as I can remember. It’s been a long time coming for RKdia Comics but I’m going to make Saturdays my official Sonic days.
I have lots of fan art for you, such as todays piece in Celebration of Sonic 4 Chapter 1 being released, however I also have some ideas for my own little fan comic series. I hope to be able to do a quick page-a-week but don’t expect that to be a solid deadline. I hope this will keep weekends fun and interesting for both myself and you fans!
Concerning Sonic 4: So far so good. Sonic Team is back on the right track and while they’re not following the exact same style of other retro-revival projects like the recent Mega Man 9 & 10, this is a step in the right direction to bring some glory back to a franchise that has fallen WAY off it’s path. I did this piece to celebrate both the beginning and the future…as well as to try my two coloring styles side by side!
