This weekend has been just an awesome weekend so far.
I finally landed a full-time job after months of searching in our locally crap market. The sun is out and it is finally warm. We're talkin' tank tops and shorts here people. It's May and it's about freaking time.
The last bit of awesomeness has been a short term goal I've been working on for about the last six months. Granted, I haven't reached it yet but today marked the halfway point. I have officially lost 30 pounds from when I first started seriously trying. Yes, I know, 30 pounds in six months is hella slow weight loss, but I've got way too many life changes occuring at the moment and losing weight is just one of them. Rather than completely concentrating all of my efforts on it, I have simply tried to start eating a little more healthier and increase my water intake and all that good jazz. So in essence, I am doing something right because the weight is coming off, even if it is rather slow.
But many would say, slow is better because you have a better chance of keeping it off. I've done the whole roller coaster thing and it sucks. I'm really hoping this slow way works for the long term. I'm so tired of being the way I am. Obviously my long term goal is made up of several of these short term ones. That way I have a little something to celebrate as I go. Long term being basically losing about half my body weight from when I started. I know that sounds like a lot, but for those who know me, know I would look just fabulous if I succeeded and it would still be a healthy weight for my height and everything. Trust me! I've thought about this for a long time.
*raises her water bottle* Here's to reaching goals and keeping the goodness going! XD
Note - Sue me if you like about my music choice. It's an uplifting and fun song damnit! XP
