(no subject)
Today I met up with Ane and we went to Daito. Walked around for a while, ate in the cafeteria (soooo cheap!!), then headed to the 国際交流センター to do some 挨拶. Chatted with Sakata san for a while, then Kasahara san came in, saying something about meeting with someone from my university. She peered over the edge of her glasses and read his katakana-ized name...
「ジェ・・ジェフリー・・アンゲールズ先生」
Woah!! Angles-sensei at Daito?! Turns out he was touring the school and checking out the program, and just happened to come to the Higashimatsuyama campus today, right when I was. She had apprently mentioned my name and he said he wasn't sure what had happened to me after I graduated. He was in a hurry and about to leave, but Kasahara san had me pop in suddenly and suprise the heck out of him. We chatted for a few minutes, and it would have been nice to talk longer, but it felt like we were on display in front of an audience, two foreigners speaking to each other in Japanese. I love hering Angles-sensei's Japanese, though, because it's just so good.
But he went on his way and I went on mine. What a coincidence, to meet thousands of miles away from Western, completely randomly on a day we both just happened to go to Daito, at the exact time. Life is crazy!!
Then, for dinner Ane and I went to Ebisu Garden Place (which isn't as nice as I thought it was, ha ha ha!), and I found 5000 yen on the ground. Woot!! My luck was good today.
But after being careful diet-wise all day today, I've just eaten like a whole loaf of bread. I'm getting fat but can't stop eating. :(
