A/N: I’m thinking the hotness factor is really missing here. Actually, this might be one of those fics we forget as soon as we read them. Well, I did what I could.
Inside out
It had been long, too long that they had both been naked, body against body so close under steaming water, or even in a bed for that matter. Kevin had been busy focusing on Julia’s troubles, then on Tommy’s troubles and on Robert and Kitty’s troubles. But who focused on his own? Scotty. Who had said go, I’ll be there when you come back? Scotty. Who had hold him tight with a little present wrapped in a little square box with a beaming smile and a Happy Anniversary the second Kevin had crossed the threshold back from Mexico? Scotty.
Two days apart was long, too long, so long, even with five Walkers draining all of Kevin’s attention and energy. Thankfully, the flight back home passed swiftly, adding some exhaustion on Kevin’s shoulders, which Scotty noticed right away.
“I want to celebrate, now. Honey, I’m so proud we made it. I hear the first year is the hardest.” Kevin said, looking deep into Scotty’s blue eyes.
“We waited two days, we can wait one more.” Scotty took off Kevin’s jacket, and offered him his hand. “You need to relax. Feel like taking a shower?”
“Only if you come with me.” Kevin leaned to kiss Scotty’s lips softly. “I’m so tired I might fall asleep under the water.”
“I guess I have no choice, then.” A little push on Kevin’s butt, and they were both heading in the direction of the bathroom.
Kevin’s clothes fell in a stack on the tiled floor and as he stepped in the stall, Scotty made sure to clean behind, not so much obsessive as organized. Only he didn’t have time to do much that he felt a tug on his sleeve. “You said you’d come with me!” The boyish and playful tone in Kevin’s voice made Scotty smile. The clothes would wait, and soon enough he had joined Kevin on the floor as their owners joined under the shower.
Water ran along Kevin’s skin but he was focusing his concentration elsewhere. After the tension-filled weekend, he could indulge in looked-for laziness and tender loving care from his husband. Scotty stood beside him, and Kevin enjoyed the kisses on the back of his neck, sucks on his earlobe, and strokes on his belly. “I knew you were irreplaceable!”
Scotty didn’t respond, and Kevin protested when the water stopped running, the lips stopped sucking, kissing, and the fingers stroking. “Kevin just relax, okay!”
“What you were doing was relaxing, why did you stop?”
Again, Scotty didn’t respond. Kevin felt the slight pressure of warm water inside his thighs; he did not grasp Scotty’s idea or the destination of the water, he was drifting in heat haze, aware of his surroundings, but away in his blissful bubble. Scotty sponge bathed him, and as the spicy menthol scent of the shower gel reached his nostrils, Kevin felt the familiar feeling of blood rushing through him. Strangely enough, he wasn’t in the mood, even if with some incitement, he knew he would probably say yes. It felt more like a reaction to getting rid of the heavy burden he had carried lately.
The water kept flowing. Scotty's chest clung to Kevin's back, the bright glimmer in Scotty's eyes one of expectation, the small smile on his lips one of mischief. “How do you feel?” Scotty asked.
Tempted for a second to answer, “Never better, since I’m with you,” Kevin chose to answer differently, and kissed Scotty instead. Demanding of a reply this time, Scotty asked again. “I feel like… in Mexico after I drank that weird green juice.”
“Okay, and how did that make you feel?”
“Sick, I had the runs.”
“Oh! Well!” Scotty fell silent, and Kevin understood from his sudden change of attitude that Scotty was hiding something. He shook his head, and Scotty told him, “I just washed you, inside and out. I thought that’s what you implied when--”
“You might want to warn me first, next time.” Kevin moaned as the water treatment started working. “Well, it would be silly not to take advantage of such perfect hygiene, now.”
“I think so, too.”
“Why don’t you go warm up the sheets?”
Kevin had no trouble to convince his mood to change, and when he joined Scotty, he found solace and comfort with the man who was in his mind and heart since he had met him almost three years before. Scotty welcomed him with open arms and heart, and Kevin closed his eyes, expert fingers sliding on his skin, shivers all over him and pleasure cascading in waves.
He didn’t care about the reason he would remember that night, the time spent apart, the time spent together - officially, a year, he would simply remember that when Scotty took him slowly burying himself deeply with passion and love, sex was divine.
Divine, indeed.
The End
