church + gays
This is a very big deal to me for two major reasons. I'm a straight woman who cares deeply about homosexual rights. Moreover, I was raised episcopal. I hope this entire fiasco will bring the hypocrisy of the church to the forefront. The interesting thing about my church in comparision to Catholicism or the Baptist faith is the Episcopal church has no solid stance on any issue. The bishop in my diocese voted against it. I've met that many many times, personally, and I think he is a complete prick already. So this just reaffirms my assumptions.
