Nothing To See Here
Dear yuletide author;
You already have my undying love so don't worry too much ok? There is pretty much nothing in any of these fandoms you can write that I won't love, promise.
First a bit of generality;
General likes: crossovers, AUs, slash, gen, het, femslash, keeping the feel of canon while not being a slave to it, in character for the situation voices, humor, action, drama.
General Dislikes: OOCness, disregarding canon for no reason particularly when it comes to things like dates and ages (hard facts vs. actions which can be tweaked all you like), MPREG.
And now specifics;
Glitch - Whenever I see Rube I think this has to be a punishment for something so I'd love to see what he did to the Giants that banished him to roam around Ur and trade with Glitchen. What happens when he doesn't make a trade that causes him to be so upset? Do the Giants give him the items he has to trade? Is there a Giant that shows him more mercy than others? I want to know all the things!
Ok, can you tell I want Rube fic? If you're here for another fandom and don't know what Glitch is, you should click here and join and mess around for a bit. I promise it's fun and addicting and adorable and crazy. Anyway, if you are here for Glitch, I think I covered most of what I want in the prompt but if you add some Rube learning yoga from the frogs I'd love you forever, but I just want an exploration of him basically.
Elsie - The Horrible Crowes - Ok this album? It owns my heart, I can't even. A fic based on any song in any fandom/not fandom would just slay me dead. So unhelpful, I know.
Can you tell I was panicking a bit? Signups needed to be in and I didn't have time to fully formulate what I wanted but just knew I needed fic for this album. If you haven't heard it you can listen to it streaming here. I just love the lyrics on everything and I seriously kept that thing on repeat for a week.
So what do I want? I don't know! It's so hard to narrow done to a specific song or theme or line. I mean you could be super literal with just a couple lines from a song or take the whole album and imagine who this man (or lady) with these crazy girls and a murder of a tie is or take a specific song/verse and apply it to a fandom of your choice (although if you go this route I'd like to request you keep with yuletideesque fandoms. Maybe that tiny fandom of your heart fits so very perfectly with one of these songs you just have to incorporate it. Don't worry about me knowing it please. I've gone from fic to canon so many times I've lost count and hey maybe you'll have a new recruit next year)
And if you're one of those people that doesn't like the super vague, I'll toss out a couple of my favourite versus to draw inspiration from. I think there's kind of a theme with liking more elemental and supernatural elements.

Skulduggery Pleasant - Derek Landy - Backstory please! I want a slice of Tanith's past. Childhood, bountyhunteresque life, learning to be as awesome as she is. Either set there or flashbacklike. I'd prefer it to be gen or fem (Tanith/China anyone? But please not Tanith/Valkyrie) although obviously canonical relationships don't have to be ignored, I'd just prefer them to not be the focus.
First thing, I've only read through The Faceless Ones right now, although I fully intend to be done with all those released before reveal so spoil away, so if anything about my request seemed odd it's because of that. Anyway, another fairly straightforward request. I just adore backstory! And I adore Tanith so how can I not request it? Maybe if you choose to focus on her bounty hunting life you could add in some legends or do a crossover with some London fandom. Maybe she's regaling Valkyrie with tales. I honestly crave anything about her. And yes, some added China would be nice since she's also amazing but really it's all about Tanith being kick ass here.
