anyone want to hang out this weekend?
So I took Friday off and was going to spend the weekend hanging out with my sister in Madison but now she's bailed and no way am I going into work when I have the day off so I'm thinking of going on a trip. Front runner right now is Denver because I can go for 25k miles r/t but hey if anyone feels like putting me up for the weekend I'd totally be up for somewhere else. As long as I can get there for either 25k miles r/t or airfare under $200 (or within 5 hours drive)
Why yes I am that bored with my life.
Oh, job front. A/C got fixed. Idk what happened there (although I have some theories) so I guess I'll be staying a bit longer. I think if I haven't found a permanent position by August I'm still going to ask the temp company to put my resume out there because I'd rather be in a temp to perm position or at least making more. (August because I've already taken the week of Comic Con off and bought my plane tickets even though I still don't know where I'm staying but I don't want to start a new job and then immediately ask for vacation time)
OH, I mentioned this on Twitter but, I BOUGHT A VIOLIN! And yes I do play (its consistently been the first question anyone asks when I tell them, this is what happens when you cut all ties from hs) its just been about 6 years. I've really been wanting to get back into it for awhile but just havent and the weekend before last I was hanging out with my cousin and messed around on his for awhile which reawakened the itch and a few days later I found a strings shop, drove out to Wheaton, and spent $450 on a case (decent, also green), bow (carbon fiber and fucking awesome), and violin (decent for the price, draw was when I want to upgrade I can get 90-100% trade-in) I'm very excited.
