An Ancient Muse
I've listened to Loreena McKennitt's latest album a number of times, but mostly as background music while I was working. Last night, I sat down with the lyrics book and my iPod and really listened to it. My suspicions were confirmed: it's certainly a decent album but it's not her best. However, the brilliance of "Caravanserai" more than makes up for the other, less inspiring tracks...
Also, I made the mistake of listening to the iTunes Music Store clips from the Spring Awakening soundtrack last night, and I'm totally hooked. Remind me why we didn't see this one when we were in New York? It's been a long time since I bought a soundtrack from a musical without actually having seen the musical, but I think it's time.
