Oops

I had a jar of pitted cherries in the fridge that had been there for some time, so I figured I'd make up a clafoutis or something this week, so we wouldn't have to try and move them with us. I just went to check how much they weighed, so I'd know how big a clafoutis to make, and noticed that the lid was bulging. It turns out I had accidentally fermented them in the back of the fridge! So I now have a whole pile of exploded cherries fizzing happily away in a colander in the sink.

I guess not everything is as indestructible as a maraschino cherry.
