B-Day!
Yieks, not a dull week I had!
Wed - Just drivin' to work, it's slightly tropical stormin' out there. I'm on the onramp from 417 to the beeline (err beachline as they call it now). Now this is a ramp where you can easily go 45 without any problem. So i'm going along it, no problem, until I hit a slick part of the road, loose all traction, do a few 360 spins in circles, cross a lane, and smack into the guardrail. Car vs. Guardrail. Car lost! Grrrr! Twasn't happy about that! At least i'm in one piece, and the car isn't too bad. So I drive my busted car to the repair shop, and FINALLY get to work around noon-ish.
But then I went out to dinner to celebrate Steph's 21st birthday which was fun. So wasn't a totally suckie day at least =p
Thur - Kicked some major butt on my economics mid-term! woot!
Fri - Brian's awesome party. Good Times. Josh, your dancing makes me smile! And I finally got to hang out with quite a few of our MC's which was nice. Most of them are pretty darn cool! Evidently I can't mix drinks. Then again, I was drinking Diet Cokes personally, so why would they ask me to make them something = p
Sat - Old Fart Day! I did Alumni Band. Yeah, you heard me! =p
It was actually pretty fun. A lil weird seeing how much the band changes over the past year. A part of me sooooooooo wants to be there with them, while a part of me is kinda happy to be free of all the time, commitment, and drama that it involves. I guess I could always march next year ;)
Next year, we need MORE people to do Alumni Band though. It's only $10 bucks! It was awesome hanging out with Stevie, Colleen, Stacey, and a few other old people. But it would have been better if more people had done it!
Game Day Stuff:
The Alumni ignored E and decided it would be fun to do Circles on the field with the band. Good Times. But what happened to the Block? it's... it's...tradition. BRING IT BACK!
New/Old pre-game was alright. Carmina, as much as we love it, it isn't the same without the Knight Fight. If we're going to be a "big time" band, maybe we could fund Medieval times to come back and do it instead of getting fireworks? And that heros song with the singer.... YIEKS! That totally ruined any momentum going into the game. The Audience just stands there each week with their jaw on the floor asking "whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy"! Here's what needs to happen: Bring back the Tunnels in pregame, get your "yay America!" fill with the national anthem, no more 9/11 shows 2 weeks late, and let's bring back the awesome white-man friendly dance moves we did with every show!

Overall, I thought the show rocked. It sounded GREAT! One thing it needs though is more dancing moves (like we had back in the day!)!(yeah yeah, i'm old). And worse of all, AJ won't let the saxophones scrub the floors! The tragedy! I might have to knock him out and take over the section again before the season is over......
wow i'm old. I'm like "back in the day, when the band had 500 people, marched barefoot in the snow on the way to the citrus bowl, and won awards for our super-coolness..."
Anyways, twas fun.
Us Old People went up to Staff after half time and was like "oh, E told us to tell you...President's Own was cancelled for today. We're so sorry! Anyways, we're going to be gone for a while, we'll be back by 4th quarter...do be do be do .."
Sooooo Almost worked ;)
(brings back good memories of the time I got fondue on my Uniform...sorry TBS! ;))
Oh, and WE WON! 3 in a row, and we're on top of C-USA! So exciting!
Sunday - Jay Blay day. We played with the Iraqi Medicine Ball in the "try to knock the other person on their ass" game for a good hour. Then we played some good old fashion football. Twas Cool. Except now i'm swore as heck! Me need more gym!
Today - I picked up my rental car. They "upgraded" me to a Kia Minivan. Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Thanks? lol. Hopefully my girl will be back in a few days **crosses fingers**.
Tomorrow - 2 Mid Terms. Ew!
Thursday - I'm wanting to go to Halloween Horror Nights again that night. Wanta come? Let me know! I can get cool people into the park for pretty cheap (lke $25 bucks).
Friday - My 23rd Birthday! Yieks! I'm Olddddddddddddddddddddddddddd!
To celebrate we'll be eating out at Bennigans! Come on out to the UCF one at 8:30pm!
